Overview

Bergen op Zoom is a historic city of about 66,000 inhabitants in North Brabant, positioned between Rotterdam and Antwerp. The city is known for its monumental architecture, including the only remaining medieval city gate in the Netherlands, the Gevangenpoort, and Hotel De Draak—claimed to be the oldest hotel in the country.
