Overview
Barra Honda National Park protects a densely forested mountain in the northern Nicoya Peninsula but is most famous for its extensive underground world of limestone caverns formed by water erosion over millions of years. The park offers caving experiences with amazing geologic formations including stalactites, stalagmites, and columns that most visitors never see.
