Overview
Bardonecchia is a compact ski town in the upper Susa Valley, the last Italian settlement before the French border. It hosted snowboarding competitions for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics and remains a serious winter sports destination with over 100 km of pistes across two ski areas.

Skiing
Two ski areas with over 100 km of slopes: Colomion-Les Arnauds-Melezet (15 lifts, 2,400m max) and Jafferau (6 lifts, 2,700m max). Olympic Half Pipe and snow park on site.
Transport
Bardonecchia Station has direct trains to Turin (1.5 hours) and connections to France via the Frejus tunnel. Local buses connect the town center to ski areas.
Weather
Mountain climate with cold winters (snow reliability December-March) and mild summers. Jafferau's 2,700m altitude extends ski season into late March.
