Overview
Baranti (or Boronti) is a small, quiet scenic village in the Purulia district of West Bengal, centered around a 1 km-long irrigation dam between Muradi Hill and Baranti Hill. The main draw is Baranti Lake, which offers grand views especially at sunset, framed by the two hillocks.

Best visited in winter (November-February). Summer can be hot. The rainy season brings lush green hills; autumn features fiery red palas tree blossoms.
