Overview
Baoting is one of Hainan's least populated counties, offering a rare glimpse into the island's indigenous Li and Miao cultures away from the beach resorts. The county's forested hills and mountains provide hiking opportunities, hot springs, and ethnic heritage parks that showcase traditional customs, dances, and crafts largely absent from the tourist-heavy coast.
