Overview
Bandarban Town is the gateway to Bangladesh's remotest and least-populated hill district, home to over 15 indigenous tribes including the Marma, Burmese, and Khyang. The area offers treks through virgin forests to peaks like Tajingdong (Bawniaphuriam), Bangladesh's highest peak, plus visits to tribal villages where tourists can experience traditional culture firsthand.
