Overview
Badami served as the capital of the Early Chalukya dynasty between the 6th and 8th centuries, leaving behind spectacular cave temples carved into red sandstone cliffs. The four cave temples showcase Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist art, while the surrounding plateau offers challenging rock climbing on natural sandstone.
