Overview
Babeldaob is Palau's largest island, comprising over 70% of the country's land area yet holding only about 30% of its population (~6,000 people). The island is one of the most underdeveloped populated islands in the Pacific Ocean, offering pristine nature including the central forested Middle Ridge designated as an Important Bird Area supporting most of Palau's endemic bird species.

Transport
Babeldaob is connected to Koror by the Japan-Palau Friendship Bridge. Driving is the main way to get around, with good roads and light traffic.
