Beach access is free, one of the few places in New Jersey where it is not paid.
Money
Alcoholic drinks are free for gamblers at casinos, but limited to well drinks and mass-market beer for low rollers.
Safety
Violent crime rate is high away from casinos. Stick to well-lit areas and casino zones. Homeless panhandlers are common but non-aggressive.
Transport
The Atlantic City Jitney minibus runs 24/7 along Pacific Avenue and to the Marina; fare is $2.25. Taxi max fare within city limits is $13.
