Overview
Ansbach served as the residence of a cadet branch of the Hohenzollern dynasty and capital of a petty margravial state from the 14th to 19th century. The town is the administrative capital of Middle Franconia, hosting courts and government agencies disproportionate to its 42,000 inhabitants.

History

Transport
Ansbach station has regular connections to Nuremberg (30-40 min) and Stuttgart. The old town is walkable and car-free. Parking is available outside the historic center.
