Overview
Annascaul is a tiny village of fewer than 300 residents on the Dingle Peninsula, best known as the birthplace of Antarctic explorer Tom Crean. It's a natural stopping point on the Dingle Way hiking trail, and Inch Beach 5 km east draws surfers.

Dingle Gate Hostel has dorms from €20 ppn (Apr-Oct); B&Bs range €70-90 double. Seafront Inn at Inch Beach has dorms €30 ppn and camping.

4G coverage from Irish carriers on N86. Dead spots on R561 towards Inch. No 5G yet.
Food
Village pubs serve food; Inch Beach has Foley's and Sammy's beachside. Sailor's Catch takeaway near South Pole Inn does fresh fish and chips.
Money
No ATM or bank in Annascaul or Inch. Most businesses accept cards but not all. Fill up with cash in Tralee.
Transport
Bus Eireann 275 runs hourly from Tralee to Dingle via Annascaul (40 min); Local Link 276 from Killarney. You need a car to explore properly.
