Before you go
Connectivity
Mobile coverage is available but may be limited in remote valley areas.
Packing
Bring walking shoes or sandals, water, and sun protection. Weather can change quickly in the mountains.
Safety
Some trails require permits (El Pijaral, Monte de Aguirre Zone). Stick to marked paths in restricted zones.
Transport
Bus services connect Cruz del Carmen with Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Driving is convenient but parking at Cruz del Carmen fills early on weekends.
Weather
Coastal areas are warmer and sunnier than the mountain interior. Trails become muddy during rainy season—allow extra time.
