Before you go
Camping
Bivouac camping from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. allowed above 2,000 meters. Campfires prohibited except in designated barbecue areas. Multiple campgrounds available in valleys.
Safety
Stick to marked trails, respect restricted zones. Keep dogs leashed. Carry out all litter. Prepare for sudden weather changes at high altitude.
Transport
Nearest train at la Pobla de Segur with bus connections via ALSA to Sort, Llavorsí, and Esterri d'Àneu. Car useful for accessing trailheads. Public transport limited within park.
Weather
Winters -3°C to 5°C, summers 10-18°C in valleys. Rapid weather changes in spring/autumn. Nights can be cold above 2,000m even in summer. Layered clothing essential.
