Overview
Almería is a sun-baked Mediterranean port city with a magnificent Moorish Alcazaba, fortress-like cathedral, and the legacy of spaghetti western film history. It's a quieter alternative to Seville or Granada—flat, walkable, and affordable—with excellent access to the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park's volcanic coastline and the desert film studios where Indiana Jones and Game of Thrones were filmed.
