Overview
Alexandria is a small town of about 3,300 residents in Eastern Ontario, primarily notable as a stop on the VIA Rail corridor between Montreal and Ottawa. The town holds historical significance as the administrative centre of North Glengarry township and preserves Scottish Highland heritage from settlers who arrived during the Glengarry Clearances from Inverness-shire.
