Overview

Alcácer do Sal and its seaside village Comporta offer an unspoiled Atlantic escape on Portugal's Alentejo Coast, one hour south of Lisbon. The area combines 12 km of pristine white-sand beaches with the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, a Ramsar wetland hosting over 200 bird species including flamingos.
