Overview
Albufera Natural Park is a large wetland area south of Valencia encompassing a shallow lake, rice paddies, canals, and beaches. It draws visitors for bird watching (especially October-March), beach access, and food—most notably as the birthplace of paella.

Activities
Bird watching is best October-March. The Racó de l'Olla Interpretation Centre provides nature trails and observation towers.
Fees
No entrance fees for the park. Guide required for restricted bird-watching areas.
Food
Paella is the star dish; most restaurants are in El Palmar and El Saler. Arrive before 14:00 on weekends to secure a table.
Transport
EMT buses 24 and 25 connect Valencia to the park; Metrobus line 41 also serves the area. Valencia Bus Turistic offers guided Albufera tours with boat ride.
