Overview
Alaşehir is a working agricultural city in Turkey's Central Aegean, best known for its sultana (raisin) production and its ancient name Philadelphia. It was one of the Seven Churches of Asia addressed in Revelation, praised for its enduring faith, and one of only two of those churches still within reach of a day trip from Alaşehir.
